Avoid Gate Opener Breakdowns With Regular Inspections
We take the gate openers to our commercial properties for granted most of the time — until they stop working and we’re forced to find someone to open and close the gate manually. You can’t always prevent a gate opener breakdown, but having it inspected regularly can prevent many problems. Often, breakdowns are caused by moisture or pests getting inside control boxes or by moisture damaging slide gate operators with electronic circuit boards. Always keep control boxes and operators above ground and maintain dry conditions. Check the control box regularly for pests, using moth balls or ant bait to get rid of them.
